Strobe light

Hi there. How are you doing? I’m good but unable to write blogs like I used to. I question myself why and I think of things like writer’s block, overwhelm, anxiety, overworked, disinterest, loss of faith, out of words, criticism, stagnation, loneliness in this big digital world. What exactly is it? Could be one, some, or all? Mixed feelings.

Let’s try something new, I said to myself. Do I like music, who doesn’t right? Like a rapid fire game, I have decided to pick a word from a song and write a little about it, keeping it within the context of sustainability. I’m going to try the same technique on my next blog too and see if it helps.

A song by Little Dragon called the Strobe Light has ‘enlightened’ me somehow, ‘shed light’ on my shadowed self, shadowed by all the mixed feelings. Picking the word ‘light’ from this soundtrack, I think of LED. Did you know LED bulbs can also have the look of an incandescent bulb? I realized this was possible when I worked at IKEA. For example, the NITTIO LED bulb looks so like an incandescent. This way you don’t miss the beauty of an incandescent and still enjoy energy efficiency.

Also, strobe lights come in LED too, FYI. Do you consciously use LED bulbs? If yes, yay! If not, why, really, why?

  1. I haven’t been blogging much this year either. In my case I’ve been writing fiction, but I don’t think that’s the real reason. Sometimes our mood just changes. We need new stimulation.

    1. It’s good to hear from you Steve. I agree, back then it used to be a very different environment around me. Things have changed in the past few years. Good things, but it is different now. As a student I was motivated to do a lot of research, I don’t do that anymore unless an external opportunity strikes. I hope you find the stimulation that you need. :)
