I learn about our environment through my blog

My blog’s address doesn’t reflect the change in my last name because I got married a few years after I first started blogging. If you have already subscribed to my blog you know that I now live in New Jersey with my husband. Back in India, I studied green technology and chemical engineering, after which I started ‘learning out loud’ by writing on a variety of environmental topics on this blog. I’ve been doing so for 4 years now. I’m glad to see that most of the blog’s readers hail from India and United States and that the number of visitors has increased every year.

The blog has been through quite a many changes, both content-wise and looks-wise.  I first started blogging about what I learnt in my Masters degree classes. These can be found in the notes section and a lot of it contained green chemistry. This explains why before anujasawant.com the address used to be greenchemie.com. I slowly started writing beyond these notes, which is when I truly started learning out loud. Many of the things that I then wrote about were not taught during my Masters. Masters gave me enough to start with though.

I now try creating infographics to better communicate things. I’ve even started a series called the Green India Series that highlights stories from India’s current environmental movement. I’ve interviewed professionals in my field to learn from them. Sometimes I just share photographs. What part of my blog do you like the most? Nothing gives me more joy than to learn things together with you. So tell me.

Are you the shy kind who’d like to talk to me through emails? Sure, go ahead. If not, there are a plenty social networks that I am on. You will find me on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Behance, Instagram and 500px.

Please feel free to contact me at : anuja (at) AnujaSawant (dot) com

Get over the idea that only children should spend their time in study. Be a student so long as you still have something to learn, and this will mean all your life. ~Henry L. Doherty
