What I learnt from this webinar

Webinar: How Our Perceptions of Green Chemistry Will Drive Implementation by Lynn Leger (Director Alcereco)

As the webinar went on, I wondered how could people trust the greeness of a product? Is there a regulatory body specifically for such products? If not, will it be a good idea to have one? I was afraid the word ‘green’ could be used loosely.

What I learnt from this webinar is that one can know about the greeness of a product through a comparative study. Life cycle analysis can be done relative to the alternative product. Product certifications are available. External tools can validate it.

Here’s one such label: US EPA Design for the Environment Program

Many thanks to Lynn Leger (Director Alcereco).

I also thank Great Lakes Green Chemistry Network and Michigan Green Chemistry Clearinghouse for arranging this webinar for all the people around the world.
